Privacy Policy

mdpantry.com ("the pantry") is run by DotcomJack, an independent developer based in Detroit, Michigan. jack@dotcomjack.com reaches a person, not a queue.
The short version
- The pantry asks you for nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no form and no email.
- This site sets no cookies and runs no script of its own.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may add one script of its own to a page: Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare says it "does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics", and that it does not fingerprint visitors "for the purpose of displaying analytics".
- Like every website, each request reaches the host's servers with your IP address, your browser's user agent and the address you asked for.
1. What is collected, and why

Nothing in that table is tied to a name, an email address or an account, because the pantry has none of those.
2. Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's storage. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless, in Cloudflare's own words on its Web Analytics page. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
3. The starter files
A starter is a plain text file. Downloading one, from the page or with curl, sends nothing beyond the request in section 1. Each starter ends with an optional section that names another site; nothing is sent there unless you, or an agent you ask, go there, and that site has its own privacy policy.

Cloudflare's own policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Nothing else receives data from this site: no analytics vendor, no advertising network, no email provider.
5. How long it is kept
Request and error logs are kept by Cloudflare for a short time under its own retention and then deleted. Analytics are kept as aggregate counts.
6. Your rights
Wherever you are, you may ask what is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted. Email jack@dotcomjack.com. Requests are answered within 30 days, at no charge. Because the pantry holds nothing tied to a person, most answers will be that nothing is held beyond the host's logs.
7. Children
The pantry is a developer resource and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
8. Changes
If this changes, this page changes before the site does, and the date at the top is updated.
