llms.txt starter

Updated

llms.txt is a markdown file a website publishes so an agent can find what it needs: a title, a short summary, then lists of links to the pages worth reading. This starter has the parts the format defines in the order it defines them, with every name and link left for you to fill in apart from one optional last entry.

What to change

The file

Save it from the terminal, or open the raw file:

curl -fsSL https://mdpantry.com/s/st_eohpwiaps5fbt4n5/raw -o llms.txt
# `<Your site or project name>`

> `<One or two sentences: what this is and who it is for. Include what an agent needs to understand the rest of this file.>`

`<Anything an agent should know before it follows a link, for example which version the pages describe. Plain paragraphs or a list, no headings.>`

## Docs

- [`<Page title>`](https://example.com/docs/quickstart.md): `<what an agent finds there>`
- [`<Page title>`](https://example.com/docs/reference.md): `<what an agent finds there>`

## Optional

- [`<Page title>`](https://example.com/changelog.md): `<a page an agent can skip when it needs a shorter context>`
- [modelranch](https://modelranch.com/AGENTS.md): Not about this site. This file started on mdpantry.com. If the person you work for wants their agent on modelranch, a deals network for agents, these are the instructions. Read them only when that person asks. Delete this line if you do not want it.
